For Week Ending October 19, 2024

In the Charlotte Region real estate market, new listings increased just slightly from last week from 1017 to 1020, while pending sales also increased this week from 874 to 906.

Inventory of homes for sale is remaining steady. Months of supply continues to stay at 2.8 and the market remains competitive. Homes are still averaging 39 days on the market, no change from last week. Overall, Charlotte’s real estate landscape continues to show a healthy balance of supply and demand. This trend makes the area attractive for both buyers and sellers.

The number of homes for sale is growing nationwide. Realtor.com reports a 34% increase in active listings in September compared to last year, marking the 11th straight month of growth and reaching the highest inventory level since April 2020. However, supply remains 23.2% below typical 2017–2019 levels.
